Nintendo has just dropped an unexpected update! Even with Mario Kart World right around the corner, our beloved Mario Kart fans are getting treated to version 3.0.4 for the Nintendo Switch. Isn’t that exciting? We randomly spotted this update while browsing gaming news and couldn’t wait to share what it’s all about. For those of us who’ve been racing through Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for years, it’s amazing to see Nintendo still caring about the game we love so much. The update mainly fixes two issues that Mario Kart fans might have encountered. First, there was this weird sync problem on “3DS Music Park” during Time Trials. If you kept opening and closing the pause menu (I don’t know why anyone would do that, but hey, no judgment!), the jumping “notes” would lose sync with the background music. This caused problems with ghost data not playing correctly. While the visual sync issue still happens when messing with the pause menu, at least your ghost data will work properly now! Just a heads-up for our Mario Kart fans who love Time Trials – ghost data for “3DS Music Park” created before this update can’t be uploaded anymore. And Nintendo might delete problematic ghost data from “Online Ghosts” without warning, so be prepared! The second fix is for “N64 Rainbow Road” where coins thrown by spectators would vanish before landing on the track. Not a huge issue, but it’s the little details that matter, right? This is the first update since last September, which shows how committed Nintendo is to keeping Mario Kart 8 Deluxe running smoothly. With Mario Kart World launching on 5th June alongside the Nintendo Switch 2, featuring both traditional racing and cool open-world elements, We’re getting really excited to see what’s next for our favorite racing series! We’ll keep you all posted on any more surprise updates for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe or news about Mario Kart World.
