It starts with Rome Avanti from Tour, a pleasant enough track but not quite the standout. However, driving through the Colosseum is a cool twist! DK Mountain from Double Dash!! is a real gem, showcasing Nintendo’s knack for creating dynamic, vertical tracks. But brace yourselves, because Daisy Circuit might just lull you into boredom. It was fun back in the Wii days, but now it feels a bit lackluster. Piranha Plant Cove, also from Tour, is a scenic water-based track with some interesting alternate routes. It’s beautiful, but it doesn’t quite reach the iconic status of some other courses. Now, let’s zoom over to the Spiny Cup. Madrid Drive is your first stop, a stylish jaunt through city streets and a football stadium—a neat but forgettable experience. Rosalina’s Ice World from Mario Kart 7 is a visual treat, filled with sneaky shortcuts and delightful challenges. Bowser Castle 3 from Super Mario Kart makes a grand comeback with a modern twist, thanks to the anti-gravity feature. And of course, the Rainbow Road from the Wii version wraps up the Cup—a classic, though not as visually stunning as others. But wait, there’s more! The update brings in Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Peachette, and Pauline. Whether you prefer heavy hitters or balanced all-rounders, these new racers add fresh excitement to the lineup. Although, a little note on Funky Kong: his voice might be a bit much after a few races, but that’s just a minor hiccup. If those characters don’t catch your fancy, there are 18 new Mii Racing Suits to check out, including some quirky ones like the Goomba Suit and Blooper Suit. It’s a nice touch, though a bit more creativity would have been awesome. Overall, Wave 6 is a fitting conclusion to the Booster Course Pass. While some tracks might not leave a lasting impression, and Daisy Circuit could’ve been swapped for something more exciting, the new characters and courses still make it a must-play for any Mario Kart fan.
