Mario Kart Tour recently updated their game to version 3.0.0 by bringing back Battle Mode on October 4, 2022. The game, which has just celebrated its third anniversary, can be downloaded via the App Store and Google Play Store. Mario Kart Tour itself is a mobile companion to Mario Kart, which has proven to be one of the most popular games on iOS and Android allowing fans to race on the move.Mario Kart Tour has surpassed more than 200 million downloads and $200 million players since the game was released in 2019. The dynamic racing game series, featuring familiar characters, and cool course designs, make it very interesting. Although the game seems easy to play, the developer always makes sure to include features that make players addicted to it. Mario Kart Tour Adds Battle Mode​ Battle Mode is a multiplayer game from the Mario Kart series such as Grand Prix and VS Mode. This game has a pretty unique cover, with Mario as the mascot, his brothers, friends, and enemies on go-karts wrapped in pseudo-3D tracks in Mario’s world. In this game, each kart is given a choice of various weapons, ranging from turtle shells, sparks, to bananas. They are part of the Mario Kart experience, which was once considered a ridiculous and fun feature. The game is gaining commercial market speed very quickly, with multiplayer features and battles available for the four controller ports. Nintendo has continued to evolve its series over three decades and 14 games, offering different vehicles, copilots, handheld versions, and various tracks. When Nintendo re-created Rainbow Road for Mario Kart 64, the track evolved beyond just a race; it is a celebration. The added elevation and reduced gravity make it feel as if players are floating down a rollercoaster while enjoying a woodwind soundtrack mixed with the synth guitar. It might take a new generation to make Mario Kart games can evolve again into something new. A change in which designers worked to break through various hardware limitations and issues thus further developing this legendary racing game.

Mods or Modifications have always existed in video games much to the chagrin of all hardware and software producers. Nintendo suffers from mods made to their games as do Playstation and Xbox. However, the age-old debate of whether modding is bad or good has always depended on which side of the fence one has been on: casual game user or official game producer. Official game producers more or less dislike modding, whether it’s because some players use it to cheat in games that require some grinding, which is the way the developer designed it, so modding it to make it easier deems the game useless or because some fans actually prefer free mods as to paid downloadable content made available by the companies, biting into their profits and sales. Whatever the reason is modding is a constant thorn in the side of gaming companies. Mario Kart mods are also available on the giant and unending marvel that is the internet. Whether it’s for cheats to do better in the race, more accessories for your carts, or even funky costumes and characters to add some more uniqueness to the game. Should Celebs Promote Mario Kart?

Nintendo has always liked to market its products a bit differently than all other video game consoles, their directs and showcases have hence garnered millions of views from around the world. However, an element of marketing that they have often relied on for software and hardware sales has often been to employ globally renowned actors to help make Nintendo feel like a household name. Actors and celebrities like Robin and Zelda Williams, Awkwafina, Brie Larsson, Beyonce and many many other stars have been called on to make Nintendo seem more consumer-friendly, but has that always worked out for them? The most recent one came before the launch of the Nintendo Switch Sports starring Tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and his son Cruz. Many gamers find such ads to be ‘cringe-worthy’ if the YouTube comments under the ads are anything to go by. Plus, Wired once wrote an article about how such a celebrity ad in 2012 offended gamers as well. My thought is: would marketing Mario Kart in this way be beneficial to the platform? Would it likely see more success or less, via this approach? Would you like to see a celebrity endorse or promote Mario Kart 9 for example? Or would it put you off as an avid Mario Kart fan? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Producer Talks About the Game

Nintendo has always been known to be notoriously silent when it comes to talking about games, consoles, the future and any other rumor that the gossip mill generates about the company on a daily basis. Their silence makes fans turn to each other in an attempt to speculate what the company will do next or what the future will do. It also makes gamers hack into system files or other Nintendo information sources to try and get some information about what the company is working on. This is why whenever a producer or game developer comes out and speaks to a member of the media, everyone likes to get updated as to what was discussed. So, recently Kosuke Yabuki spoke to Nikkei. Kosuke who is the producer (and director of the Wii U release of Mario Kart 8) had a lot of interesting points to share. Yabuki and his ;staff, in particular, choose to uphold former president Satoru Iwata’s philosophy of making the Mario ;games ;accessible to as many people as possible. This plays into his answer about how even after “5 years after the game’s release, that appeal hasn’t faded”. This is very true considering the game has now sold more than 40 million copies. While answering why he thought the popularity of the game is still on the rise and he said it had a lot to do with the game’s unique initiatives like getting to throw stuff at your opponent in an attempt to make them lose. We can agree with this completely, the game’s unique mechanisms have always stood out and led the way in innovation. We all love ourselves some Mario Kart rumors, in fact, Nintendo fans have been notorious for datamining leaks, spreading rumors and divulging secrets about not only the firm’s hardware, but most of its popular software franchises too. A day doesn’t go by when someone or the other on the internet claims to have found a new copyrighted remote control or plans for the Switch Pro or the Switch 2. Plus, even though the hype around Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has died down after the final character was released last year, no true Nintendo fan can ever forget what the internet used to be like days before a direct was planned to showcase and highlight a new DLC.
