This Small Update to Mario Kart Could Elevate It!

donkeykong54

For many years, Mario Kart has been a cherished racing game, and it remains a popular choice for gamers of all ages. While the game has mainly stayed the same during all this time, there are a few aspects that may be enhanced to improve the gameplay experience. Today, we’ll talk about a modification that may be made to Mario Kart to make it even better. A more dynamic weather system is one adjustment that could be implemented. The weather in Mario Kart is currently static and has no effect on gameplay. The game might be made much more fun and demanding by incorporating a weather component that players would have to understand and incorporate. For example, rain might make the course slick, and high gusts could alter your kart’s direction. Alternatively, players may encounter a sudden sandstorm, decreasing vision and making navigation more challenging. Introducing a dynamic weather system into Mario Kart would elevate the game and make races even more entertaining. It would present gamers with a new challenge and add an extra degree of excitement to the game. With this update, Mario Kart would still remain a classic yet instill a contemporary edge that would appeal to a new generation of players. We know and love all Mario Kart games that have come till now and will continue to support all the ones that come moving forward, BUT if you could add, change, or redefine an element of the game, what would it be and why?

The Best Mario Kart Game Ever?

drybones4

Mario Kart is a fan-favorite series of racing games featuring the iconic characters of the Super Mario universe. With eight main entries in the series and several spin-off games, it can be tough to determine the best Mario Kart game. However, after much consideration, I believe the best Mario Kart game is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch. Released in 2017, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is an enhanced port of the original Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U. It includes all of the tracks and characters from the original game, as well as all of the DLC released for it, in one convenient package. In addition to the returning content, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also includes new characters, tracks, and gameplay modes. One of the standout features of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is its gorgeous, high-definition graphics. The vibrant, colorful tracks and characters are a delight to behold, and the action is smooth and fluid. The game also features a robust online multiplayer mode, allowing players to compete against each other from all over the world. But what really sets Mario Kart 8 Deluxe apart from the other games in the series is its inclusion of a revamped Battle Mode. In the original Mario Kart 8, Battle Mode was somewhat of a disappointment, but in Deluxe, it has been completely reimagined and is now one of the best parts of the game. With a variety of new gameplay modes and redesigned battle courses, it’s a blast to play with friends. Overall, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the complete package. It offers a ton of content, beautiful graphics, and tight gameplay that is sure to please fans of all ages. It’s no wonder it has become the best-selling game in the series and a must-have for any Nintendo Switch owner.

Why is Mario Kart Such a Popular Game?

link87

What makes Mario Kart a game that stands the test of time? I’ve often wondered what exactly makes the game tick, generationally, and come to the conclusion that there are many factors that make it a game for all ages. To recap: Mario Kart is a popular racing game that has been around for decades and has spawned numerous iterations and spin-offs. The franchise has a wide appeal and has been enjoyed by players of all ages. One reason for the game’s popularity is its colorful and vibrant graphics, which provide a visually appealing experience for players. The characters, tracks, and vehicles are all well-designed and detailed, making it a joy to play. Another factor that has contributed to Mario Kart’s success is its accessibility. The game is easy to pick up and play, with simple controls that are suitable for players of all skill levels. This makes it a great game for families and friends to play together, as everyone can have a good time regardless of their experience. The game also has a strong multiplayer component, with various modes that allow players to compete against each other locally or online. This adds a level of competition and social interaction that keeps players coming back for more. In addition, Mario Kart has a wide range of tracks and characters to choose from, which adds to its replay value. Players can race on tracks inspired by various Mario games and franchises, and choose from a roster of beloved characters such as Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach. Overall, Mario Kart’s combination of visually appealing graphics, accessibility, multiplayer features, and replay value make it a popular game that has stood the test of time.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Vs. Crash Team Racing

drybones6

There’s only a handful of video game characters as identifiable and recognizable as Crash Bandicoot. Considering that Crash was the reply to Sonic the Hedgehog, and Mario, it’s always given immense competition to both games. However, since the creation of Nitro Kart and Mario Kart, players, critics and fans have always loved to debate which game is better and when Crash Team Racing came out to rival Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the debate was ignited once again. It’s one of our most favorite topics to discuss and we haven’t officially written about it on the blog yet, so we thought we’d put arguments for both games here and leave it up to you guys to give an ultimate verdict about which game takes the cake, once and for all. Objectively speaking, both have some great characters with Mario getting a little more popular in recent years thanks to a variety of games to its credit as well as the upcoming movie which is going to be full of Hollywood voice actors. It’s definitely going to open up the Mario franchise to many new fans and people who didn’t know of it before. Crash loses out on some of that airtime because its characters aren’t that popular apart from Crash itself. Both games are incredible, the tracks are amazing, the soundtrack is awesome and the controls and features are similar. However, many prefer the core gaming element of Crash as opposed to Mario Kart. On the other hand, many prefer Mario Kart and its online player mode as being miles ahead and much better than Crash’s version and its recent DLC has been said to prolong its life, whereas Crash Team Racing is starting to lose clout as it came out as a stand-alone game in 2019. So, where do you stand on this great debate? Which do you like better and why? We’d love to hear your opinions and finally put to bed one of the most talked about video game comparison in the history of both games.

Real-Life Mario Kart World!

daisy65

We have all wished for the world of Mario Kart to become real, right? Be able to touch the karts? Live in the awesome fast-paced, adventure seekers’ paradise? If so, the only way one can ever be that close to being in any fantasy world, gaming or otherwise is via theme parks. Theme parks make the magic of games, movies, and cartoons come to life, with rides and attractions that we can touch, feel, taste and experience. Similarly, Universal studios and their Mario-themed attraction is something that we’ve always kept our eyes and ears open. Our diligence paid off, for the first-ever video of what fans can expect the Mario-themed world to look like has been released. Universal Studios announced in March that the first Super Nintendo World in the United States would debut in 2023 at the Hollywood park. According to the press ;Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is “one of the world’s biggest, most engaging rides,” and it “flawlessly fuses virtual reality with perception mapping technology and actual set pieces… to debut a ride that’s incomparable anywhere within the theme park industry.” Power-Up Bands will also be available at the park and will be integrated into the Bowser’s Challenge ride. Would you visit the park for this Nintendo-themed ride? Do you think it’s a good idea for games to have attractions at theme parks? We’d love to hear your opinion on this, as usual.

Mario Kart Mods: Yes or No?

donkeykong6

Mods or Modifications have always existed in video games much to the chagrin of all hardware and software producers. Nintendo suffers from mods made to their games as do Playstation and Xbox. However, the age-old debate of whether modding is bad or good has always depended on which side of the fence one has been on: casual game user or official game producer. Official game producers more or less dislike modding, whether it’s because some players use it to cheat in games that require some grinding, which is the way the developer designed it, so modding it to make it easier deems the game useless or because some fans actually prefer free mods as to paid downloadable content made available by the companies, biting into their profits and sales. Whatever the reason is modding is a constant thorn in the side of gaming companies. Mario Kart mods are also available on the giant and unending marvel that is the internet. Whether it’s for cheats to do better in the race, more accessories for your carts, or even funky costumes and characters to add some more uniqueness to the game. They exist and have been here ever since the original game has. Where do you stand on the issue of modding Mario Kart? Do you have a copy of a modded version of the game? Does it make Mario Kart more enjoyable or less? We would love to hear from you.

Mario Kart 9 – Myth or Reality

drybowser7

Mario Kart has been one of Nintendo’s most famous, most popular, most lucrative and arguably, most loved software. The characters are timeless, the concept is unique and the fan following is always asking for more. However, Nintendo has been actively supporting the last version of the game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with confirmed track updates in the form of DLC for the next year so does it even make sense for it to be developing a new game on the down-low? Well, it kinda does. Nintendo always keeps details of game sequences and major game updates a little hush hush, letting the rumor mill spurn out whatever insane gossip it can and hardly ever do they directly address an issue, unless its really important. Mods, hackers and other people go around poking in the firms software and hardware to prove their inane theories that flood the internet. This has been happening for software (BOTW 2?) and hardware (Switch 2? Switch Pro?) so Mario Kart 9 rumors also surface every now and then. Our question is what’ll be different in Mario Kart 9? Personally, we’d want some awesome new (not revamped, revised or remade tracks) some new characters, awesome new and improved power-ups (the old ones are getting dated), and just an overall newish look and feel to the game. What do you think could be new about such a game, if Nintendo is developing one? Do you think it’ll accompany the new hardware? Like Breath of The Wild did for the Switch? Let us know your thoughts on this, we’d love to hear your comments!

Should Celebs Promote Mario Kart?

rosalina44

Nintendo has always liked to market its products a bit differently than all other video game consoles, their directs and showcases have hence garnered millions of views from around the world. However, an element of marketing that they have often relied on for software and hardware sales has often been to employ globally renowned actors to help make Nintendo feel like a household name. Actors and celebrities like Robin and Zelda Williams, Awkwafina, Brie Larsson, Beyonce and many many other stars have been called on to make Nintendo seem more consumer-friendly, but has that always worked out for them? The most recent one came before the launch of the Nintendo Switch Sports starring Tennis star Lleyton Hewitt and his son Cruz. Many gamers find such ads to be ‘cringe-worthy’ if the YouTube comments under the ads are anything to go by. Plus, Wired once wrote an article about how such a celebrity ad in 2012 offended gamers as well. My thought is: would marketing Mario Kart in this way be beneficial to the platform? Would it likely see more success or less, via this approach? Would you like to see a celebrity endorse or promote Mario Kart 9 for example? Or would it put you off as an avid Mario Kart fan? Which celebrity would you pick to be in such a Mario Kart advert? Would love to hear your thoughts on this debate

What Exactly Do Coins Do Again?

toad8

With so many items up for grabs in all Mario Kart games ever invented, it’s not surprising that most newbies don’t exactly know the point of the all-important Mario collectible: The coin. To be honest, Mario wouldn’t be Mario without coins, right? So, it’s great that the old fan favorite found its way to all or most Mario games that Nintendo released, from Super Mario to Mario Kart, the swirling, revolving gold disk is almost iconic in nature and simply a huge part of the overall Mario franchise. But what does it do in Mario Kart? Numerous things. Coins can give you a small speed boost, they can help guide you through some difficult tracks, they can help unlock many locked items and you can even compete to get the most coins with your friends in battle mode. Apart from all this, they just look cool and help add an overall charm to the game, motivating the player to get as many as they can. So, instead of thinking they’re useless, especially as a newbie, start collecting as many coins as you can in each track and see how it improves your gameplay. You’ll be surprised how much more focused you’ll be if you keep your eye out for them, actively. Happy playing!
