ludwig9

Hello everyone, I’m sure you’ve noticed by now, but the website has been redesigned! Our previous layout was only temporary because of all the issues associated with it. I would like to thank everyone who helped with the process of getting this new design up and running. The other thing I want to mention is that our second tournament has been announced as the “Blazing Stars” tournament! This tournament will be on Saturday, April 30th, 2022, and signups will be available here. The prize for the tournament right now is TBD and will be added at a later date. I hope you all enjoy the new design!

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Future Datamined DLC Tracks

larry4

We all love ourselves some Mario Kart rumors, in fact, Nintendo fans have been notorious for datamining leaks, spreading rumors and divulging secrets about not only the firm’s hardware, but most of its popular software franchises too. A day doesn’t go by when someone or the other on the internet claims to have found a new copyrighted remote control or plans for the Switch Pro or the Switch 2. Plus, even though the hype around Super Smash Brothers Ultimate has died down after the final character was released last year, no true Nintendo fan can ever forget what the internet used to be like days before a direct was planned to showcase and highlight a new DLC. Hence, it comes as no surprise that fans can hardly wait for new tracks regarding the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe expansion that’s been announced by Nintendo. Only weeks after the first wave was launched, people have been trying everything in their power to get some sort of information about what tracks are planned for the next drop. The information that is currently circulating the internet is that many tracks that might be added the next time around will be taken from the Mario Kart Tour game, which is a mobile version of the game. Tracks like the ones below are all being rumored to be a part of the next release: Sydney Sprint (Mario Kart Tour)New York Minute (Mario Kart Tour)Singapore Speedway (Mario Kart Tour)Mario Circuit (Super Mario Kart)Sunset Wilds (Super Mario Kart)DK Summit (Mario Kart Wii)Maple Treeway (Mario Kart Wii)Waluigi Stadium (Mario Kart Double Dash)Rainbow Road (Mario Kart 7)Merry Mountain (Mario Kart Tour)Vancouver Velocity (Mario Kart Tour)Sunset Wilds (Mario Kart: Super Circuit)Vanilla Lake (Super Mario Kart) What do you think? Is having Mario Kart Tour tracks on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe brilliant or lazy?

Mario Kart New Tracks – DLC Drop

lakitu7

We’ve been talking a lot about how the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has gotten a new lease on life by the added DLC drop announced in the Nintendo Direct that took place back in February. The first eight tracks dropped on 18th March and there have been many additions to the classic game via this update. New cup names have dropped, which include: Turnip Cup, Propeller Cup, Rock Cup, Moon Cup, Fruit Cup, Boomerang Cup, Feather Cup, Cherry Cup, Acorn Cup, Spiny Cup. The latest track drops include fan favorites like Choco Mountain and Coconut Mall from previous Mario Kart games. As fans slowly accept, play, and dissect the new tracks, mixed reviews have popped up on social media regarding the update. Some fans appreciate the newness and extension that the game has gotten, while others have said that the newer tracks could have been better graphically. From what we’ve seen of fan footage and images on social media, the game looks polished and plays well. We think that this expansion, that’s said to last till 2023 will definitely add many new players to the fan base and ultimately satisfy existing fans too, because no matter what the tracks look like, Mario Kart has become relevant again, with influencers playing the new tracks on twitch, it’s bound to trickle down and involve many players around the world. Have you tried the expansion pack? What do you think of the new track drop?

Thoughts on Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit

bowserjr4

We’ve been discussing all things Nintendo and Mario Kart on this blog for a while now, but one Mario Kart game that we haven’t spoken about at all is the live home circuit edition. This game has been controversial since its release in 2020, with many fans claiming that it’s not good enough to be counted as a Mario Kart game. It is a franchise that has always lived up to its game and provided on all the expectations that fans hold for it every time a new one is announced. Mario Kart Live Circuit, on the other hand, has been constantly reviewed as a ‘broken children’s toy’ with it not being anywhere near as good as the $100 market price that it dropped with or the $60 price that it is now on sale at. However, some fans felt that it was a pleasant surprise and was worth the price to see Mario Kart being played live in your home. Moreover, some even pointed out that because it was, after all, a children’s toy, it should be judged by what the target audience thinks it to be, and the target market has been happy with the product. Since they don’t know its limitations and faults, children have loved to play with it. Does that make it a hit? We’re on the fence about this particular Mario Kart game. Our loyalties lie with the franchise, and it isn’t as good as all the other Mario Kart games, maybe the VR and AR technologies of our time let it down, and maybe in a few years, this is what gaming will be like. If you think of it that way, Nintendo might be on to something by laying a foundation for the future, but time will tell. Have you played the Mario Kart Live Home Circuit? What are your thoughts on it?

What Mario Kart Means to Nintendo

link3

Whether we’re talking about home consoles with motion controllers or handheld platforms with significant “Pokémon” titles, the “Mario Kart” series is an incredible powerhouse that dominates sales across Nintendo consoles. With the release of the Nintendo Switch, the company’s power has only grown. As the iconic character for Nintendo, Mario’s instantly recognizable colors and animation has meant that it’s as popular as Mickey Mouse is for Disney. With a major motion picture releasing soon, with a star-studded cast, Mario’s popularity and success will be unparalleled for the company. Having said that, what is it about Mario Kart that always ensures that sales skyrocket, no matter what the platform? Since the 90s, every major Nintendo hardware has been complemented with a version of a Mario Kart game. Kids who’ve grown up on the Wii version games are now adults playing Mario Odyssey or Mario Kart on their switch. Whether it is difficult-to-beat game mechanics, stunning graphics, unique racing tracks, or even the soundtrack that accompanies the races, everything about the game is widely loved and heatedly debated. Moreover, every Nintendo fan is bound to have the game, even though it costs over $60 apiece, which many consider steep. The game is an all-time fan favorite and has sold a whopping 43.35 million copies for the Nintendo Switch as of December 31, 2021. With the expansion pack dropping soon, it’s bound to pick up some more loyal fans along the way.
