Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Passes 60 Million Sales!

mario999

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, has zoomed past another incredible milestone! Can you believe it? Even after nearly seven years since its release, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still dominating the gaming scene like a champ. Last year, we cheered as it crossed the 50 million sales mark, and now, hold on to your red shells because it’s hit an even more mind-blowing milestone in just one year! Nintendo’s latest quarterly financial report unveiled the staggering news: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has now soared to a whopping 60.58 million sales worldwide since its epic debut back in April 2017 until December 2023. What’s even more thrilling is that our favorite kart racer has clinched the title of the best-selling Switch game ever, leaving its rivals in the dust. Sorry Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Super Mario Odyssey—it looks like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has claimed the gold cup! Just imagine that in the past year alone, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has burned rubber to the tune of around eight million copies sold. That’s right, a staggering eight million! It’s a testament to the timeless appeal of this classic game, originally based on a decade-old Wii U version. Who says age slows you down? But let’s not forget the turbo boosters that fuelled this phenomenal success. Thanks to the Super Mario Bros. Movie and the Booster Course Pass, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been supercharged with six DLC waves, adding a whopping 96 tracks and bringing back beloved characters from Mario Kart history. Now, that’s what I call a winning formula!

Discovering shortcuts and becoming one with your kart. Slow and steady wins the Mario Kart race. Tip No. 3 – Embrace the Basics, Conquer the Tracks In the chaos of 200cc, don’t forget your roots. Basic strategies are the backbone of a seasoned racer. Nail that Rocket Start for an early lead, strategically hold items to dodge Red Shells, and remember, the Boo item is your stealthy sidekick, ready to snatch opponents’ items. While not every trick works in 200cc, the fundamental strategies remain your trusty companions across all speed classes. We have some exciting news to share with you today. It turns out that the next big thing from Nintendo might not be exactly what we expected. You know and love Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, right? It’s been our go-to for thrilling races and epic shell throws since it zoomed onto the Nintendo Switch scene. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is more than just a new game; it’s an amped-up version of the classic Mario Kart 8 that first graced the Wii U back in 2014. Yes, our beloved Mario Kart fans, it’s been almost a decade since a brand new Mario Kart title hit the tracks! Now, the buzz in the gaming world is that Nintendo is pouring its biggest budget ever into the next installment of our favorite racing game franchise. According to COMICBOOK, the ‘Mario Kart X’ project is Nintendo’s most expensive development to date. This project is shaping up to be the most spectacular and expensive game Nintendo has ever developed. The word on the street (or should we say, the racetrack?) is that this information comes straight from Zippo, a source known for spilling the beans on gaming secrets. Embrace yourselves for more excitement! The development dream team behind ‘Mario Kart X’ includes the legendary “Nintendo Epd Production Group 9,” teaming up with the wizards at Bandai Namco Studios, who brought us the magic of Mario Kart 8. Talk about a power-up for the development process! And for those of you speculating about the next-gen Nintendo console, whispers in the gaming community suggest that the so-called Nintendo Switch 2 could hit the shelves in 2024. But the million-dollar question remains: will ‘Mario Kart X’ bring us brand new racing courses, or will we continue our high-speed adventures on the beloved tracks we know and love? As we gear up for this next chapter in Mario Kart history, one thing’s for sure: the anticipation is as electrifying as a Lightning Bolt power-up.

We’ve got news from the racetracks of the gaming world. Remember when we were all revving up our engines for the final wave of DLC for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe? Well, in a surprising twist, our favorite racing game has just skidded out of the US top 20 best-selling games chart for the first time since its launch. Yes, you heard that right! Since its grand debut in April 2017, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been like a superstar racer, holding a pole position in Circana’s (you might remember them as The NPD Group) top sales chart. That’s a jaw-dropping 78 consecutive months! Talk about a winning streak. Even Mat Piscatella, the eagle-eyed industry analyst, suggests that this might be an all-time record. Can anyone say “legendary”? Now, before you start waving those checkered flags in dismay, let’s zoom into some interesting details. Nintendo, our trusty game maker, hasn’t shared its digital sales figures. If they did, who knows? Mario Kart 8 Deluxe might still be zipping along in the top 20. It’s a bit like our friends over at Rockstar with Grand Theft Auto V—they, too, keep their digital sales under wraps. So, there’s a chance our beloved racing game is doing better than we think! And here’s the kicker: as we race towards the holiday season, don’t be surprised if Mario Kart makes a roaring comeback. With whispers of another bundle in the pipeline, we could see our favorite game drift back into the top spots.

Racing Down Memory Lane

golddrybones33

It’s time to take a nostalgic drive down memory lane. The Mario Kart Tour, our beloved mobile racing adventure, will no longer add new courses. This news brings a mix of emotions, inviting us to look back on the incredible journey we’ve shared since its launch in 2019. Do you remember the excitement of downloading Mario Kart Tour for the first time on your iOS or Android device? The game was a sensation, surpassing all expectations and racing ahead of other smartphone games in terms of downloads. From the bustling streets of New York to the colorful vistas of various countries, every update brought us together in a global celebration of speed and fun. As we gear up for a future where the Tour will replay our favorite racing courses and characters, it’s time to cherish those memories. Remember how we eagerly awaited each update, curious about the new drivers, karts, and parts that would add to our racing experience? Those were the days of pure, unadulterated joy and competition. Let’s take a moment to reflect on how Mario Kart Tour has evolved over the years. The shift from a random item gacha system to a direct-selling item shop in 2022 was a significant change, adapting to the evolving landscape of the gaming industry. It was a testament to Nintendo’s commitment to keeping the game fair and enjoyable for everyone. Despite the shift in focus towards the Switch, Nintendo has nurtured a special place in our hearts with Mario Kart Tour. While other smartphone ventures came and went, our game remained a steady favorite. As we brace for a future without new racing courses, let’s not view it as the end but as a celebration of the joyous times we’ve had. Let’s revisit our favorite tracks, relive those thrilling races, and keep the essence of Mario Kart Tour alive in our hearts. Here’s to countless hours of fun, laughter, and friendly competition. Mario Kart Tour, you’ve been on a wonderful journey, and your legacy will race on in our memories.

peachette45

Hey there, our beloved Mario Kart fan! We’ve got some turbocharged news about Mario Kart 8 Deluxe that’s bound to get your engines revving! Nintendo has just dropped the latest update, Version 3.0.1, for our favorite racing extravaganza, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Remember how Mario Kart 8 Deluxe started as a souped-up version of the Wii U’s Mario Kart 8? Well, Nintendo didn’t just stop there. They supercharged it with the “Booster Course Pass,” injecting the game with a fresh dose of adrenaline. We’re talking 48 new courses and eight new characters—it’s like a whole new world of racing madness! But hold onto your hats, because the latest update, Version 3.0.1, has just skidded onto the track. It’s fine-tuning your racing experience with some much-needed tweaks and fixes. They’ve squashed bugs on tracks like Tour Vancouver Velocity, GC DK Mountain, and Wii Daisy Circuit, ensuring your race is as smooth as a freshly paved road. And get this: the update also puts the brakes on the controversial ‘sandbagging’ strategy. No more falling behind on purpose to snag powerful items, racers! It’s all about skill and speed now. Here’s a quick pit stop tour of what’s new in the update: Get ready to hit the tracks with these new improvements. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe continues to be the heart-pumping, joy-inducing racing game we all love. See you on the track, racer!

MK 8 Deluxe’s Wave 6 Adds Thrills and Chills

pauline45

Hey there, Mario Kart fans! Buckle up, because the 6th Wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, which dropped on November 9, 2023, is here to rev up your engines! Let’s dive into this thrilling new update with the enthusiasm of a true Mario Kart enthusiast. We’ve been eagerly waiting for this expansion, and Nintendo has definitely added some zing to our beloved game with a total of 48 courses. This latest wave is a mixed bag of excitement and a few letdowns, but overall, it’s a joyride worth taking. First up is the Acorn Cup. It starts with Rome Avanti from Tour, a pleasant enough track but not quite the standout. However, driving through the Colosseum is a cool twist! DK Mountain from Double Dash!! is a real gem, showcasing Nintendo’s knack for creating dynamic, vertical tracks. But brace yourselves, because Daisy Circuit might just lull you into boredom. It was fun back in the Wii days, but now it feels a bit lackluster. Piranha Plant Cove, also from Tour, is a scenic water-based track with some interesting alternate routes. It’s beautiful, but it doesn’t quite reach the iconic status of some other courses. Now, let’s zoom over to the Spiny Cup. Madrid Drive is your first stop, a stylish jaunt through city streets and a football stadium—a neat but forgettable experience. Rosalina’s Ice World from Mario Kart 7 is a visual treat, filled with sneaky shortcuts and delightful challenges. Bowser Castle 3 from Super Mario Kart makes a grand comeback with a modern twist, thanks to the anti-gravity feature. And of course, the Rainbow Road from the Wii version wraps up the Cup—a classic, though not as visually stunning as others. But wait, there’s more! The update brings in Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, Peachette, and Pauline. Whether you prefer heavy hitters or balanced all-rounders, these new racers add fresh excitement to the lineup. Although, a little note on Funky Kong: his voice might be a bit much after a few races, but that’s just a minor hiccup. If those characters don’t catch your fancy, there are 18 new Mii Racing Suits to check out, including some quirky ones like the Goomba Suit and Blooper Suit. It’s a nice touch, though a bit more creativity would have been awesome. Overall, Wave 6 is a fitting conclusion to the Booster Course Pass. While some tracks might not leave a lasting impression, and Daisy Circuit could’ve been swapped for something more exciting, the new characters and courses still make it a must-play for any Mario Kart fan. So, grab your controller and let’s hit these new tracks—the Mario Kart world awaits!

Wave 6 Now Available in the US
