Recap: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Comes With a Plot Twist

metalmario8

Mario Kart Tour was released on mobile devices in 2019, and has seen a steady stream of updates ever since. The game continues to add new drivers, new karts, and new track mixes, as well as returns covering the history of the Mario Kart series. This kart racing game featuring Nintendo’s mainstay characters has reached its eighth series and has been updated with the title Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which has just launched on Nintendo Switch. The presence of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe seems to be a refresher in the Switch game line, besides The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild of course. As such, the game has become the ultimate celebration of all things Mario, and it’s easy to see why the game continues to find new players, while some of Nintendo’s other mobile endeavors have struggled. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Pass On the other hand, in February, Nintendo just announced a Booster Pass for Switch games, which will add a few more from previous Mario Kart games, including Mario Kart Tour. As such, the Booster Pass will give console players their first chance to play tracks like Ninja Hideaway, Tokyo Blur, and Paris Promenade, all of which will debut in the game next month. Mario Kart Tour is currently available on iOS and Android devices. The game that will get multiple maps is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. They brought a DLC that would bring old maps to play in the game.To get this DLC, gamers are required to buy the DLC which will arrive on March 18th. Engadget (10/2) reports several legendary maps, such as Coconut Mall from Mario Kart Wii, Choco Mountain from Mario Kart 6.4, and Tokyo Blue from Mario Kart Tour, and five other versions of the classic course are confirmed. On the other hand, they will add another eight circuits in six waves. The total circuit to be added is about 48 maps, which will be completed by the end of 2023. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscribers will get access to the remastered course at no additional cost. Of course, this is not a bad offer. Hit the Shortcut Racing in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe doesn’t just stick to the main track. You can take advantage of the shortcuts provided. To be able to pass this shortcut, you must be quite observant in finding and taking advantage of opportunities. It doesn’t guarantee you win either, but at least passing a shortcut can cut your time for a while. One of the perfect shortcuts is the last corner on the Cloudtrop Cruise track.

Green Hill Zone Mod

Today, I wanted to share with you something that is pretty darn impressive: a custom track in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The course below is the “Green Hill Zone” from Sonic the Hedgehog on Squadaloo’s YouTube channel. The design of the track is beautifully detailed and definitely looks like something out of the original game. Hopefully this inspires Nintendo so we can have more tracks similar to this one! Update: Video was removed and taken down.

Real-Life Mario Kart World!

daisy65

We have all wished for the world of Mario Kart to become real, right? Be able to touch the karts? Live in the awesome fast-paced, adventure seekers’ paradise? If so, the only way one can ever be that close to being in any fantasy world, gaming or otherwise is via theme parks. Theme parks make the magic of games, movies, and cartoons come to life, with rides and attractions that we can touch, feel, taste and experience. Similarly, Universal studios and their Mario-themed attraction is something that we’ve always kept our eyes and ears open. Our diligence paid off, for the first-ever video of what fans can expect the Mario-themed world to look like has been released. Universal Studios announced in March that the first Super Nintendo World in the United States would debut in 2023 at the Hollywood park. According to the press ;Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is “one of the world’s biggest, most engaging rides,” and it “flawlessly fuses virtual reality with perception mapping technology and actual set pieces… to debut a ride that’s incomparable anywhere within the theme park industry.” Power-Up Bands will also be available at the park and will be integrated into the Bowser’s Challenge ride. Would you visit the park for this Nintendo-themed ride? Do you think it’s a good idea for games to have attractions at theme parks? We’d love to hear your opinion on this, as usual.

Mario Kart Mods: Yes or No?

donkeykong6

Mods or Modifications have always existed in video games much to the chagrin of all hardware and software producers. Nintendo suffers from mods made to their games as do Playstation and Xbox. However, the age-old debate of whether modding is bad or good has always depended on which side of the fence one has been on: casual game user or official game producer. Official game producers more or less dislike modding, whether it’s because some players use it to cheat in games that require some grinding, which is the way the developer designed it, so modding it to make it easier deems the game useless or because some fans actually prefer free mods as to paid downloadable content made available by the companies, biting into their profits and sales. Whatever the reason is modding is a constant thorn in the side of gaming companies. Mario Kart mods are also available on the giant and unending marvel that is the internet. Whether it’s for cheats to do better in the race, more accessories for your carts, or even funky costumes and characters to add some more uniqueness to the game. They exist and have been here ever since the original game has. Where do you stand on the issue of modding Mario Kart? Do you have a copy of a modded version of the game? Does it make Mario Kart more enjoyable or less? We would love to hear from you.

Mario Kart 9 – Myth or Reality

drybowser7

Mario Kart has been one of Nintendo’s most famous, most popular, most lucrative and arguably, most loved software. The characters are timeless, the concept is unique and the fan following is always asking for more. However, Nintendo has been actively supporting the last version of the game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with confirmed track updates in the form of DLC for the next year so does it even make sense for it to be developing a new game on the down-low? Well, it kinda does. Nintendo always keeps details of game sequences and major game updates a little hush hush, letting the rumor mill spurn out whatever insane gossip it can and hardly ever do they directly address an issue, unless its really important. Mods, hackers and other people go around poking in the firms software and hardware to prove their inane theories that flood the internet. This has been happening for software (BOTW 2?) and hardware (Switch 2? Switch Pro?) so Mario Kart 9 rumors also surface every now and then. Our question is what’ll be different in Mario Kart 9? Personally, we’d want some awesome new (not revamped, revised or remade tracks) some new characters, awesome new and improved power-ups (the old ones are getting dated), and just an overall newish look and feel to the game. What do you think could be new about such a game, if Nintendo is developing one? Do you think it’ll accompany the new hardware? Like Breath of The Wild did for the Switch? Let us know your thoughts on this, we’d love to hear your comments!
